Paper vs plastic coat tickets — which suits you?

The choice between paper and plastic is usually simpler than people think. It mostly depends on how often and intensively you use the tickets — and for by far the majority of cloakrooms, a pre-printed paper ticket is the smartest choice. We list the real differences without any marketing spin.

What is the choice really about?

"Paper vs plastic" practically comes down to two models: disposable (a cheap paper ticket used just once) versus reusable (a hard tag that you get back each time and reuse). Both can work — but they suit very different situations. So the question isn’t “what is better?”, but “what suits my cloakroom?”.

Cost per use

Here, paper almost always wins. 1,000 pre-printed paper coat tickets cost €59 (€69 for black/gold), numbered 1 to 1,000 and delivered in two blocks of 500. That’s about €0.06 per ticket. A deluxe version in black with silver (500 pieces) costs €59.95. Reusable tags have a much higher purchase price per piece; you only recoup this if you really reuse them hundreds of times without loss.

Logistics and stock management

Paper requires no management: issue, use once, then throw away or recycle. No cleaning, no sorting, no searching for lost tags.
